A Moodest9 lamp is designed, 3D-printed, assembled and shipped from one studio in Zagreb, Croatia. Printing one lamp takes about six to seven hours. This article walks through the steps, from the first design file to the parcel at your door.

1. How is a lamp designed?
Every lamp starts as a 3D model. We design in Blender and Grasshopper, two 3D design programs. Because we print in our own studio, we can print a design, study it, change the file and print it again. A lamp goes through this loop until the shape is right.
2. What is the lamp printed from?
We print with PETG and PLA filament. Edge, Fluid and Hourlight are printed from PETG. Endless is printed from PETG and PLA.
3. How is it printed?
We use Creality K1 Max printers. The printer melts the filament and builds the lamp one thin layer at a time. One lamp takes about six to seven hours.
4. What happens after printing?
Nothing is sanded, coated or painted. We keep the fine layer lines the printer leaves, because they are part of the design. You can read why in Why we keep the layer lines on our lamps.
5. What comes with the lamp?
Each lamp comes with a 1.8 m cord with an EU plug, a bulb socket (E14, or E27 for Hourlight) and a 6 W, 2700K warm-white LED bulb. A product sheet in the box has a QR code that opens the assembly guide.
Hourlight, our limited edition of 50, also comes with a certificate of authenticity that states its serial number and when it was made.
6. How long until it arrives?
Every lamp is made to order. We make your lamp within 30 days after your payment. When it is finished, we ship it within 2-5 business days. Delivery then takes 3-5 business days inside the EU and 5-14 business days outside the EU. We ship to 31 European countries; the full list is in our shipping policy.
